Super Kids PPEC is a prescribed pediatric extended care (PPEC) center located in North Miami. Providing professional, long term care for children with complex medical conditions.

 

We create a safe and engaging environment where children receive expert nursing care, therapy, and close medical attention from our dedicated  medical professionals.

Elsa Perez, M.V.D,  M.S Clinical Psychology 

Elsa Perez is a BCaBA with over 10 years of experience ​managing care for individuals with autism and other developmental disorders. Elsa Perez holds a Doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine and a Master’s degree. Her diverse career also includes roles in group home care, veterinary science, and clinical psychopedagogy. ​​

Yaleisys Rosales Pantoja, B.S.N

Yalesiys Rosales Pantoja is a registered nurse with over 22 years of experience  and a diverse background in surgery, home health care, and pediatric extended care. She earned her BSN through the New Mexico Board of Nursing  and holds a Masters in biotechnology. Known for her leadership, adaptability, and compassionate care, Yalesiys has served in both clinical and supervisory roles. Her expertise spans patient education, emergency response, and psychological support.

Dr. Ann-Marie Wong, M.D

Dr. Ann-Marie is a pediatrician with over 25 years of experience. She received her medical degree from the University of  Miami. Wong is known for her commitment to compassionate patient care, clinical expertise, and dedication to pediatrics. She holds active medical licenses in Florida and has a longstanding affiliation with Mount Sinai Medical Center.

Fabian Ortega is the co-founder of Super Kids  With a background in both pediatric therapy and computer science, Fabian brings a blend of compassion, innovation, and leadership to our center. He is a registered behavior technician (RBT) with experience supporting children with developmental and behavioral challenges.

    A Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center is a specialized care facility designed to provide daily medical, therapeutic, and developmental support for children with complex medical needs. Licensed nurses and skilled caregivers ensure each child receives tailored healthcare services in a safe, supportive environment.
  • Who qualifies for PPEC services?
    Children from birth up to 21 who require medical monitoring, treatments, or therapies during the day may qualify for PPEC services. Eligibility is based on medical needs as prescribed by a physician.
  • What types of medical services are provided at a PPEC center?
    PPEC centers offer a range of services, including skilled nursing care, medication administration, respiratory support, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and daily monitoring of vital signs. PPEC center also provide specialized services, like seizure monitoring and respiratory care.
  • How is PPEC different from traditional daycare?
    Unlike traditional daycare, PPEC centers are staffed with licensed healthcare professionals trained to manage medical conditions and provide therapeutic services. PPEC centers are medically equipped to handle complex health needs and provide a higher level of care and supervision.

  • Can my child’s existing therapies continue at the PPEC?
    Yes, PPEC centers are equipped to provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy services, allowing children to receive their prescribed therapies on-site. Our therapists coordinate with your child’s healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • How often will I receive updates on my child’s progress?
    We believe in open communication with parents. You’ll receive regular updates on your child’s health, progress, and activities. Our team is available for consultations and will coordinate with you to review your child’s care plan as often as needed.
  • What if my child needs emergency care?
    Our team is trained to handle medical emergencies. We follow strict protocols to ensure immediate care and stabilization. In the event of a medical emergency, our staff will promptly contact emergency services and notify you.
  • How do I enroll my child in PPEC?
